During the 1940s, The Skirmisher was published monthly throughout the academic year. However, only 26 issues have been found. Unfortunately, no issues for the 1948-49 or 1941-42 school years have been located. The 1945-46 school year includes volumes 30 (1945) and volume 28 (1946), volume 29 was skipped over. The first issue of each volume starts when the corps is assembled in the Fall and ends with the last issue printed at commencement the following year. Here the papers have been arranged by school year or volume number, with the Skirmishers beginning in 1940-1941 or volume twenty-three.
